Common Questions
Students are required to complete a minimum of 400 hours of work placement in a regulated community services organisation within the course duration. For practical placement purposes, students must also obtain a current and satisfactory Police Record Check, NDIS Check, evidence of Influenza immunisation, evidence of COVID-19 vaccination, and a Working with Children Check (WWCC).
The total course fee is $28,750 AUD, broken down as follows: Tuition Fee $28,000 AUD, Application Fee $250 AUD, and Material Fee $500 AUD.
Students attend face-to-face classes for a minimum of 20 scheduled course contact hours per week. Students complete learning activities in class to prepare for summative assessments at prescribed intervals. Assessment methods include written questions, demonstration of skills, research, projects, and work placement.
Graduates of the CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) can continue studying the CHC62015 Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management or pursue Bachelor Degrees in Social Work, Social Science, Community Welfare, or Community Development. Career roles include case worker or manager, community services worker, early intervention worker, family support worker, and welfare worker.
The course consists of 20 units in total — 12 core units and 8 elective units — packaged to specialise in Case Management. The course runs for 104 weeks full time, including work placement and 12 weeks of holidays, with intakes in February, May, August, and November.
