About This Course
At this level, workers apply specialised community services skills and work autonomously within their scope of practice under broad direction from senior management. Graduates support people to improve their personal and social wellbeing, may supervise other workers and volunteers, and can take on case management and program coordination responsibilities.
The course includes a minimum of 100 hours of work placement, assessed as part of the units of competency. It is offered as a packaged course alongside the Certificate III in Individual Support and Certificate IV in Ageing Support; students enrolling directly are recommended to have prior study or work experience in the community services or health sector.
