Students are required to complete 400 hours of mandatory work placement upon approval by community work australia. To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 240 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency. Prior to undertaking placement, students must provide a current and satisfactory police check and a Working with Children Check. Students may request Australian Health and Management Institute to organise their work placement or they may find their own, subject to a workplace suitability assessment.
International students must meet the following English Language Entry Requirements: an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no bands less than 5.5) or an equivalent Pearson Test of English (PTE) score.
Graduates at this level will have skills for work in a variety of roles. Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
