The course fee for international students ranges from $11,000 to $12,540 AUD. Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials (if applicable) range from $300 to $1,000 AUD per course.
Yes, in this course you'll have the opportunity to undertake 200 hours of work placement that will broaden your skills and knowledge and help you establish your professional network by building relationships with employers, colleagues and other students.
You will need to study 12 core units and 8 elective units. The elective units must consist of at least 6 units from amongst the electives listed in Group A, B, C, D or E, and up to 2 units from any endorsed Training Package or accredited course. TAFE NSW offers packaged specialty elective units tailored to meet industry demands.
This qualification could help you prepare for roles such as Case Worker/Manager, Community Services Worker, Domestic and Family Violence Worker, Youth Worker, Family Support Worker, Family Services Coordinator, and Program Coordinator.
After completing the Diploma of Community Services, you can continue your studies through a TAFE NSW degree pathway, TAFE NSW–university partnership pathways (which offer guaranteed entry and credit transfer to eligible students at a number of Australian universities), other university pathways, or a TAFE NSW vocational pathway where you can package two or more TAFE NSW courses together to achieve your career goals.
