Diploma of Community Services

Graduates of the CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services (Statutory & Forensic Child, Youth & Family Welfare) have a range of career opportunities available to them in the community services sector. Some of the career opportunities include:

• Case Manager: works with clients to assess their needs and develop a plan of action to achieve their goals, providing support and guidance to help them navigate complex systems and access the services they need.
• Child Protection Worker: responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children who are at risk of harm, working with families and other professionals to develop plans to protect children from abuse and neglect.
• Youth Worker: supports young people to reach their potential and achieve their goals, providing guidance and support to young people who are experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral issues.
• Family Support Worker: provides support and guidance to families who are experiencing difficulties, working with families to develop strategies to improve their situation and access the services they need.
• Community Development Officer: works with communities to identify their needs and develop strategies to address them, working with community groups, government agencies, and other organizations to develop programs and initiatives that support the community.
