Students are required to complete at least 400 hours of fieldwork placement in line with industry standards and legislation, and must have the ability to undertake work placements at two community services organisations.
The course runs for 104 weeks and is delivered in a blended mode combining face-to-face and online learning, with 15 hours of face-to-face learning and 5 hours of online learning on a weekly basis, except during term breaks.
For overseas students whose first language is not English, an overall IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent is required, or students may pass an Abbey College Australia entry test designed to assess the level of English proficiency.
After completing the CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services, graduates may progress to higher education courses, providing a pathway to university-level study.
The CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services requires the completion of 20 units in total, comprising 12 core units and 8 elective units. Please note that electives are subject to change to meet client and industry requirements.
