The course is delivered over a period of 104 weeks, equating to 54 weeks of delivery, 14 weeks of work placement, and 36 weeks of holidays.
To achieve this qualification, the individual must have completed a total of at least 100 hours of work in a regulated care facility in Australia. At HIA, the total is 280 hours — 180 hours applied collectively across relevant units of competency, while 100 hours is required in one specific unit.
Applicants must have an English proficiency level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or alternatively complete and pass the HIA English Test.
Job roles and titles may vary across the industry; however, possible job titles relevant to this qualification include Care Team Leader, Community Access Coordinator, and Community Program Coordinator.
