The course fee for international students ranges from $19,150 to $20,290 AUD. Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials range from $300 to $1,000 AUD per course.

Graduates of this course may go on to roles such as Environmental Officer, National Park Ranger, Biodiversity Conservation Manager, Indigenous Land Manager, Pest and Feral Species Manager, Ecological Restoration Manager, Sustainability Manager, Threatened Species Manager, and Mine Site Rehabilitation Manager.

Yes, this course includes frequent field classes held at various sites away from the main TAFE campus. Students are required to organise their own transport to and from field sites through carpooling with other students, public transport or other private arrangements.

To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in 10 units of competency, comprising 0 core units plus 10 elective units. TAFE NSW offers 11 packaged specialty units as part of this course.

After completing this diploma, students can pursue vocational study pathways with a range of TAFE NSW courses, continue to a TAFE NSW degree, take advantage of TAFE NSW–university partnership pathways that offer guaranteed entry and credit transfer to eligible students at a number of Australian universities, or gain entry to other universities using their TAFE NSW qualifications.
