You will be conducting field work in natural bush close to Epping campus and Northern Lodge training centre, as well as on specialised field trips to beautiful locations around Victoria. Melbourne Polytechnic also collaborates with key organisations including Darebin Parklands, Whittlesea City Council, Parks Victoria and Landcare to develop projects focused on real-world issues.
For government subsidised students, the tuition fee is $11,450 plus a materials fee of $160 and a maximum annual amenities fee of $260, totalling $11,870. For non-subsidised students, the tuition fee is $21,150 plus the same materials and amenities fees, totalling $21,570. The materials fee covers a four-day Conservation camp related to student assessments.
Yes. As a graduate of the Diploma of Conservation and Ecosystem Management AHC51120, you can articulate into a related degree course. The amount of credit given towards the degree varies depending on the provider institute and type of degree, and it is recommended you seek pathways advice from the degree provider.
Assessment methods include observation, demonstration, simulated workplace, written assessment, portfolio and case studies. Information about assessment will be provided at the start of each unit.
There are no formal academic entry requirements for this course. However, you must complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test to enrol.
