The Diploma of Counselling Skills takes 1 year full time (3 Trimesters) to complete, or up to 6 Trimesters if studying part time.
The Diploma of Counselling Skills is available at Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, and Online campuses. Note that some campuses (Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, and Online) are not available to international students.
For domestic students, the total indicative course fee is $22,664 (8 units x $2,833), plus the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). FEE-HELP is available. For international students, the total indicative course fee is $29,176 (8 units x $3,647), plus SSAF.
Upcoming intake dates for the Diploma of Counselling Skills are Trimester 2 starting Monday 25 May 2026, Trimester 3 starting Monday 14 September 2026, and Trimester 1 starting Monday 1 February 2027.
Students can choose to study On Campus or via Blended delivery. On-campus study typically involves 3-4 hours per week of face-to-face teaching per subject, held in mornings, afternoons, evenings, and sometimes weekends. Blended delivery combines online and on-campus learning, requiring students to undertake activities, assessments and self-directed study online as well as attend some classes.
