Students train with industry-standard tools including Toon Boom Harmony and Storyboard Pro, Wacom and XP-Pen tablets, the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, and production management platforms such as ShotGrid (Shotgun), GitHub, and Hack'N'Plan. Facilities also include stop-motion equipment using ball-and-socket rigs, lightboxes, and line testers, as well as purpose-built workstations and render farms.

The course is developed in collaboration with industry professionals from Animal Logic (now Netflix Animation), Flying Bark, and Rising Sun Pictures. Lecturers include Sean Callinan, a former Head of Animation and Game Development with extensive experience in film, television, and motion graphics; Tim McEwen, who has worked on feature film storyboards and concept art for productions such as Happy Feet Two and Wolf Creek 2; and Az Valastro, a Game Developer and Artist who previously studied at JMC Academy.
