Yes. On completion of the Diploma of Creative Arts (Game Design), you'll have a direct and seamless pathway into the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Game Design) with full credit for your completed trimesters, so you can continue developing your skills in game development, interactive media, and game art without starting over.
You'll learn core principles of game design, gameplay mechanics, and interactive storytelling; fundamentals of visual design, concept art, and 3D asset creation; early prototyping using industry engines in guided studio classes; introductory coding and scripting foundations; and how to work within small development teams and follow production workflows. You'll graduate with portfolio pieces that demonstrate your developing design and art abilities.
This Diploma is ideal for aspiring game designers ready to take their first professional steps in game development and interactive media. It's perfect if you're passionate about creating games, eager to develop your skills, and want to learn through hands-on experience in a supportive creative environment. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills before committing to a full degree, the Diploma offers an immersive introduction to game design, development, and art.
The Diploma is offered at JMC Academy's Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney campuses. Intakes are available in February, June, and September. The course is available as full-time or part-time study, with FEE-HELP available, and no ATAR is required for entry.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
