Diploma of Digital Media

Yes, the Diploma of Digital Media is available both On Campus and Online, giving you the flexibility to choose the study mode that best suits your needs.

On completion of the Diploma of Digital Media, you may choose to further your skills with the Associate Degree or Bachelor of Digital Media, or pursue employment in fields such as web design, graphic design, animation, game development, software development, audio production, video production, advertising, and more.

The indicative first-year fee for 2026 is $14,446 for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP). This course has CSPs available, meaning the Australian Government subsidises part of your fees and you only pay the student contribution. You may also be eligible for a HECS-HELP loan to defer part or all of your student contribution fees.

To be eligible for this course, you must meet a minimum ATAR of 60.00 or Selection Rank (SR) of 60.00. English Language Proficiency requirements also apply. If you don't meet the standard entry requirements, CQU offers a range of alternative entry pathways depending on your background and previous experience.

You must complete eight units (48 credits) as part of the core structure, which includes units such as Digital Video and Audio, Illustration and Visualisation, Web Design, Visual Design Fundamentals, Foundations of Animation, User Experience Design, Coding Fundamentals, and Introduction to Study and Professional Practice.
