Students must have completed the CHC30113 or CHC30121 – Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. They must also undergo a working with children police check and have a valid blue card before undertaking work placement. Students must be over 18 years of age. International students must meet minimum English language requirements: IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 64, PTE 50, or CAE 169.
The course is offered as Classroom Based training in Brisbane and Sydney, combining classroom and workplace-based delivery methods including written assessment, portfolio of evidence, logbook, practical observation, and 280 hours of vocational placement, over 56 weeks full time. An RPL pathway is also available across Australia, with duration determined by the quality of evidence submitted and the amount of gap training required.
For Fee for Service (Classroom Based, 56 weeks standalone): Administration Fee $100.00, Resource Fees $300.00, Tuition Fees $16,000.00. For the 98-week Certificate III + Diploma package: Administration Fee $100.00, Resource Fees $400.00, Tuition Fees $23,000.00. Funded options are also available, including Career Boost and Under 25 Fee Free Apprenticeship pathways with reduced tuition fees.
After completing the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, graduates may pursue roles such as Early Years Director, Lead Educator, Coordinator, Centre Manager, Early Years Educator, or Nominated or Certified Supervisor in regulated children's education and care services in Australia.
Yes. After successful completion of this qualification, students may have the opportunity to progress into BSB50420 – Diploma of Leadership and Management.
