Common Questions
Students are required to complete 288 hours of work placement in regulated childcare centres. Placements will be in accredited childcare centres, and New Era Institute has agreements with workplaces to provide suitable placements. Students are also encouraged to source their own childcare centres to complete their practical placement.
Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold a CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Applicants must also be 18 years or over, demonstrate a good command of written and spoken English, and meet the Student Visa (Sub-class 500) requirements.
The course is delivered at the Windsor NSW 2756 campus, which includes classrooms with data projectors and whiteboards, a simulated childcare facility with cots, high chairs, children's play area, changing table and dolls, private study space, and Wi-Fi capability. A computer lab is accessible during business hours and printing and scanning facilities are also available using the NEI student card.
Yes. Students can apply for Credit Transfer where there is an exact match of units of competency achieved through an accredited VET qualification at an approved RTO. Applicants can also apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for existing skills and knowledge obtained through workplace training or experience, which may reduce the number of units required to be completed. If RPL or credit transfer is approved, the student's Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) will be adjusted to reflect any reduction in the period of study.
Upon successful completion of this course, students may choose to further their studies by enrolling in programs such as a Bachelor of Early Education.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
