About This Course

This qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children's education and care services in Australia. Educators at this level are responsible for designing and implementing a curriculum that meets the requirements of an approved learning framework and for maintaining compliance in other areas of service operations. They use specialized knowledge and analyze and apply theoretical concepts to diverse work situations. They may have responsibility for the supervision of volunteers or other educators. Early childhood educators work in long daycare centers, family daycare, pre-schools, or kindergartens. Be a part of a child's growth and development and help them learn in an environment that is engaging and supporting with a qualification in children's services. You will work closely with children aged 0-12 years from different backgrounds and cultures and provide care and support for them in various childcare situations. Our Trainers with their specialized expertise will prepare you for work placement in the childcare industry for practical experience.

Entry Requirements

General Requirements

Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold: CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or Alternatively, individuals may hold: An Australian diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care , or An Australian diploma or certificate III in Children's Services. AND Demonstrate at least 12 months of cumulative employment (full-time equivalent) within the last 5 years in a regulated education and care service in Australia, supported by verifiable evidence. OR Hold the CHCSS00147 Entry into Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. 2. Overseas students must have a minimum overall band of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. 3. LLN requirement You will need Positive attitude, caring nature, good work ethic, and interest to take on the responsibility of designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standards. Before undertaking a work placement, students will be assisted to obtain a Working With Children Check.
