The total course fee is AUD $20,550, which includes an Application Processing Fee of $250 (non-refundable, to be paid on application), Tuition Fees of AUD $20,000, and Materials Fees of AUD $300. Study materials are provided to students by CCMT and are included in the total course fees.
The course runs for 78 weeks in total (60 weeks of study and 18 weeks of holiday) at the Sydney Campus. It is delivered 14 hours face-to-face per week on campus and 6 hours online per week, totalling 20 hours per week. The training and assessment weeks include a total of at least 280 hours of work placement.
International students must hold a CHC30121 or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or an equivalent Australian Diploma/Certificate III in Children's Services with 12 months of verifiable employment), or hold the CHCSS00147 Entry into Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. They must also be at least 18 years of age, have completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent, achieve an IELTS score of 6.0 overall (or equivalent), and participate in a course entry interview and LLN Test conducted by CCMT.
To achieve this qualification, students must complete a total of at least 280 hours of work placement in a compliant childcare centre. CCMT has allocated 10 weeks for work placement, which amounts to 280 hours at 25–30 hours per week. All students must obtain a Working With Children Check certificate and complete the First Aid unit before commencing work placement.
After completing this Diploma, potential employment options include roles such as Childcare Room Leader and Centre Manager, among other relevant designations. Students may also continue their education into a range of higher education qualifications at Bachelor's level in a similar or relevant field.
