Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

This course provides students with the specialised knowledge and practical skills to work in early childhood education and care at a senior level, coordinating other staff and implementing early childhood programs. Students learn to manage relationships with family members, set learning goals, ensure workplace compliance, foster children's learning, and monitor and support their development and wellbeing. They use specialised knowledge and skills to overcome unexpected problems, and support other staff to do the same, with graduates potentially given responsibility for other educators or volunteers.
