To achieve this qualification, the individual must have completed a total of at least 280 hours of work in a regulated children's education and care service in Australia. The total number of hours may be applied collectively across all units of competency that include the requirement for workplace hours.
Yes. Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold a CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
The course duration is 52 weeks (inclusive of term breaks and public holidays), with a tuition fee of $18,000 and an enrolment fee of $250.
Yes. Learners may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. If students have previously completed a unit with the same unit code or unit title, they may be eligible for a Credit Transfer. Students may also apply for RPL if they can demonstrate that their work and life experiences match one or more of the units. Applications for both must be made prior to the commencement of the course, and there is a fee for these processes.
Influenza vaccinations are required annually by 15 August for certain healthcare workers (mandatory for placement), and COVID-19 vaccinations are also required for certain healthcare workers (mandatory for placement). Students are to follow all necessary requirements based on the current Victorian Department of Health Advice prior to placement.
