The Tuition Fee of this course is $18,000 payable in six instalments of $4,500 each. There is an additional non-refundable $500 Enrolment Fee payable at the time of enrolment, and a $1,000 Materials Fee payable for this course (refundable if you decide to cancel your course prior to commencement).
Yes, this course requires you to complete 280 hours of supervised work placement in a regulated children's education and care service in Australia. The Capstone work placement coordinator will assist you to find work placement. Before starting work placement, students must apply for a Work with Children Check (WWCC) and provide information requested by the work placement host venue to support mandatory workforce record-keeping.
Students who successfully complete this course will be issued with a CHC50125 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. A Statement of Attainment will be issued to students who partially complete this course. All certification documentation will be issued by the Ballarat Academy Pty Ltd trading as Capstone Institute of Australia.
Overseas students must demonstrate at least an Upper Intermediate (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent) level of English prior to commencement. The course is delivered and assessed exclusively in English.
Students are provided with an assessment manual at the commencement of each unit of competency, along with standard learner materials. Each unit will comprise a number of assessment tasks which include providing responses to short answer questions; compiling a portfolio of evidence of completed work; and participating in practical activities such as demonstrations, role-plays and presentations.
