Common Questions
All students enrolled in this course must undertake 300 hours of work placement in an accredited early childhood education and care service. Work placement must be completed successfully in order to gain this qualification.
The tuition fee is $13,000.00. There is also a Material Fee of $900.00 ($100 per Term, which includes text books, arts and crafts, T-shirt and materials), a Non-Refundable Enrolment Fee of $250.00, and a Non-Refundable Application Fee of $250.00.
Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold a CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Overseas students must also demonstrate English language proficiency of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent, and students must bring their own tablet or laptop for online learning and research work.
The course is offered at three campuses: Level 4, 4 Railway Pde, Burwood NSW 2134; 445 Upper Edward Street, Brisbane City QLD 4000; and Level 2 (Suite 203), 9-15 Bay Street, Southport QLD 4215.
The further study pathways available to learners who undertake this qualification include a learning pathway to a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care or BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), which would support career progression. Note that SSBT does not offer the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care.
