Common Questions
To achieve this qualification, the individual must have completed a total of at least 288 hours of work in a regulated children's education and care service in Australia. The total number of hours may be applied collectively across all units of competency that include the requirement for workplace hours.
International students require a minimum English level of IELTS 6.0 (with no individual band less than 5.5). If the level of English is insufficient, a suitable course can be organised. Additionally, entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold a CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Students who achieve a 'Competent' result in all required units of study will be awarded the certificate for the qualification. A statement of attainment will be issued for any units in which the student has been assessed as 'Competent'.
No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication. However, under the Education and Care Services National Law (2011), the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) publishes lists of approved early childhood education and care qualifications and information regarding regulatory requirements at www.acecqa.gov.au.
Tuition fees paid in advance by students are protected under the Commonwealth's Tuition Protection Service (TPS). The TPS is a placement and refund service for international students, acting like an insurance cover for fees paid in advance. It is a single mechanism to place students when a provider fails to meet obligations or, as a last resort, to provide refunds of unexpended prepaid tuition fees.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
