Intech Institute offers a range of study options including: Full-time on campus (for both Domestic and International Students), Full-time on-the-job training (for Trade Workers Only), RPL of existing skills (must have worked in the industry), Apprentice and Trainees (Domestic Students Only), and QLD Government Subsidised RPL and Gap Training (QLD Residents Only).
Credit may be granted towards this qualification by those who have completed MEM40119 Certificate IV in Engineering, MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade, or other relevant qualifications. Upon completion, students can progress onto MEM60122 Advanced Diploma of Engineering offered within the college.
Yes, there is an opportunity for an 18-month post-study work visa for international students. International students will also have the opportunity to complete the program on campus through practical training and assessment and on-the-job placements, making the student job-ready.
RPL is a process of having your knowledge, work experience and skills formally assessed for the purpose of gaining a nationally recognised and accredited qualification. It is suitable for existing engineers currently employed in the industry, as well as overseas skilled workers who wish to transfer their overseas skills and experience into an Australian qualification. As part of the RPL application process, candidates must provide a portfolio of evidence including prior qualifications, employment history, visual evidence (photos and videos), work samples, references, journals and publications, and may be required to complete practical or written/verbal testing. InTech will provide initial feedback on the RPL at no cost to determine your success rate and any gaps in your skills.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
