After completing the Diploma of Engineering (Technical), you can transition into the Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) (Honours), or Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Information Engineering) (Honours).
Completing the Diploma of Engineering (Technical) awards 120 credit points towards the relevant Bachelor of Engineering degrees at Federation University.
If you don't meet the entry requirements for your dream course, a TAFE qualification can be used as a stepping-stone. You'll get the skills you need to transition easily into a related higher education course, and you may end up with two complete qualifications.
Most undergraduate units (subjects) are worth 15 credit points, and a one-year, full-time study load is equal to 120 credit points, meaning 120 credit points awarded from the diploma is equivalent to one full year of undergraduate study.
If the course you're considering is not listed in the pathway table, you can see if it's in the Federation University course finder and do a credit search to find out what credit points may be awarded.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
