Common Questions
The course fee for domestic full-time students is $12,000 (includes PPE, training and assessment resources). For international students, the fee is $28,000 (includes PPE, training and assessment resources; excludes OSHC, visa fees, and accommodation). On-the-job learners and RPL students should contact Intech for a quote. A payment plan is also available, allowing payment per semester or in monthly instalments.
Intech Institute offers a range of study options including: full-time on campus (for domestic and international students), full-time on-the-job training (for trade workers only), RPL of existing skills (for those who have worked in the industry), apprenticeships and traineeships (for domestic students only), and QLD Government Subsidised RPL and Gap Training (for QLD residents only).
Both domestic and international students attending on campus are required to attend face-to-face classes and practical workshops Monday to Friday, with a compulsory 75% attendance requirement. International students must maintain this attendance under student visa conditions. InTech operates on a 10-week term with 4 terms per year, and all classes are scheduled for 20 hours per week.
Credit may be granted towards this qualification for those who have completed a MEM40119 Certificate IV in Engineering, MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade, or other relevant qualifications. Upon completing this diploma, students can progress onto the MEM60122 Advanced Diploma of Engineering offered within the college.
Yes. RPL is available for individuals who can demonstrate previous and/or current work history in the industry. As part of the RPL application process, candidates must provide a portfolio of evidence including prior qualifications, employment history, visual evidence (photos and videos), work samples, references, and may also need to complete practical or written/verbal testing. InTech will provide initial feedback on the RPL at no cost to determine your success rate and any gaps in your skills.
