By undertaking this course, you will research, analyse and understand various TESOL methodologies and their application to learning goals; understand how to construct a cohesive series of lessons to form an ESL syllabus; research and understand various ESL proficiency tests and prepare ESL students for them; design and/or customise ESL assessment items based on learning outcomes; prepare ESL students for various academic contexts such as university study; and create learning programs for specific purposes such as English for business, medicine, or tourism.
To enrol in the 11020NAT Diploma of English Language Teaching (TESOL), you must have completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent, attained IELTS 5.5 English language equivalence if you are a non-native English speaker, and be aged over 18.
The 11020NAT Diploma of English Language Teaching (TESOL) runs for 52 weeks x 2 (104 weeks in total) with a study load of 20 hours per week.
