The Diploma of Event Management (SIT50322) has a course duration of 12 months (52 weeks) and is delivered via classroom with online activities and assessments.
International learners must demonstrate English proficiency at IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. Acceptable alternatives include TOEFL or PTE results, completion of an English Language course at an Australian institution exiting at Upper Intermediate level, evidence that English was the language of instruction for at least five years of study in Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa or Republic of Ireland, completion of the Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or Certificate IV or higher in Australia within the two years before applying, a Year 10 certificate or equivalent, or Cambridge C1 Advanced test results at Scale Score B2.
After completing the SIT50322 Diploma of Event Management, learners can pathway into the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management, the SIT60222 Advanced Diploma of Event Management, or a Bachelor of Event Management.
The full tuition fee for the Diploma of Event Management is $15,000 (GST Exempt). The learner fees ensure learners receive printed notes and access to Wi-Fi whilst on campus for the duration of their course, along with all other material, equipment and resources required to complete the course.
Yes. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available. RPL is a process that provides a learner with credit for formal and non-formal training as well as life/work experience. Applications must be made prior to enrolment or start of study using the 'RPL Application Form'. Evidence that can support an application includes a detailed resume, letters from employers, an interview with the Assessor, work skills or knowledge, paid or unpaid work experience, life experience, and community work experience.
