About This Course

The Diploma of Fashion Marketing and Enterprise is a ticket to mastering the business side of fashion, focused on creating and managing fashion businesses in an ever-changing world. Students dive into fashion marketing, operations and retail, exploring fashion business models, digital communication strategies, fashion buying, merchandise planning and brand building, alongside consumer research and the principles of entrepreneurship. On completion, graduates are ready to move into industry or continue on to the Bachelor of Fashion Marketing and Enterprise. Learning outcomes include distinguishing between ethical and unethical marketing and enterprise management practices, applying a structured process of inquiry to source and evaluate information in response to marketing and fashion industry problems, and understanding the historical, social, cultural and technological contexts tied to local and international fashion marketing practices.

The course benefits from a partnership with Vogue Australia offering internship, mentoring and scholarship opportunities, and includes a free Adobe Creative Cloud Pro licence for the duration of study and six months after graduation. Delivered online, on campus and in blended mode at Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and online, the course runs one year full time or two years part time, at AQF Level 5, by Torrens University Australia Ltd trading as Billy Blue College of Design.

Entry Requirements

General Requirements

Domestic students:

Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent OR
Successful completion of a Vocational qualification (AQF Level 4), or above OR
Successful completion of at least 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6, 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent OR
Work life experience demonstrating the ability to undertake study at the required level, which may include approval of prior study or successful completion of a readiness assessment

International students:

Successful completion of at least 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6, 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or above, or equivalent OR
Australian secondary school certificate, or equivalent Senior Secondary qualification, or Baccalaureate Diploma AND
Equivalent IELTS 6.0 (Academic) with no skills band less than 5.0 OR
Alternative entry requirements may be available, which may include assessment and approval of prior study or successful completion of a readiness assessment (contact the International Admissions team for more information)
