Learn about the ideas and concepts of design, the art of presenting and defending a point of view, critical thinking skills, and the history and language of the design industry.
Principles of Design
Learn about the principles of design through creating vector graphics in the form of motifs, pictorial marks and logos using Adobe Illustrator and other tools.
Fundamentals of Image Making

The Diploma of Graphic Design online delivery is available to domestic students only. Additionally, part-time study is not available for international students.
Students will learn to use professional industry tools including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign to create motifs, logos, posters, flyers and more.
The annual course fee (indicative) is $23,992 AUD (based on 1.0 EFTSL), comprising 6 units at $2,999 each and 1 unit at $5,998, plus the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). FEE-HELP is available for eligible domestic students.
Yes. The Diploma of Graphic Design is stage one of the three stages of a Bachelor of Design and Visual Communication. Upon completion, graduates are eligible for up to 80 credit points towards the Bachelor of Design and Visual Communication.
Students can complete the course in approximately 7 months via the 2 Trimesters Full Time (Fast Track) option, or over one year via the 3 Trimesters Full Time option. A part-time option is also available for domestic students who need more flexibility.
