You will learn Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), typography, drawing for design, design history, creative thinking, illustration, branding identity, web/interactive design, motion graphics, UX/UI design, photo-media, and 2D/3D visual campaign design. You will also complete topics in Design Foundations and Design Studio.
In addition to tuition fees, students should budget approximately $200 for arts materials and tools, and $75 for the Noble Desktop: Intro to InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator eBook. Online students will also need access to a graphics-capable computer and broadband internet connection.
The total fees for the 12-month course are: $7,632 (subsidised), $6,042 (concession), or $16,642 (full fee). You may be eligible for government subsidised training. A VET Student Loan (an interest-free loan from the Australian Government) may also be available to eligible students. Fees vary depending on subjects you enrol into.
The on-campus course is generally structured as 3 days on-campus and one day online per week. The course is offered full time at the Adelaide College of the Arts, while an online option with full-time and part-time flexibility is also available.
Graduates can pursue entry-level employment as a Graphic and Multimedia Designer, or use the qualification as a pathway to further study in the Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design. You will graduate with an impressive portfolio of design work to support your job applications or further study applications.
