Common Questions
After completing the Diploma of Health, you can transition to second-year studies at Western Sydney University, Sydney City Campus, with a pathway into the Bachelor of Health Science including majors such as Public Health, Health Promotion, Recreational Therapy, Health Services Management, and Clinical Science. Alternatively, you can pursue entry-level roles in the health care sector such as health promotion officer, support worker, peer worker, or health education officer.
For 2026, Australian course fees are A$26,000 and international course fees are A$33,500. There is also a one-off non-tuition enrolment fee of A$225.
The Diploma of Health has intakes in March, July, and October each year, and can be completed in 12 months. The program can be completed over two or three sessions.
Students will study eight units in total, comprising six core (mandatory) units and two elective units chosen from The Psychology of Health (HPSY203), Health Promotion (HPRO203), and Exploring Social Diversity (SDIV103).
Graduates of the Diploma of Health will be able to discuss fundamental health principles and concepts, identify solutions to contemporary and emerging health issues, communicate data-supported recommendations to a range of audiences and stakeholders, collaborate with others in diverse settings, and demonstrate skills of independence and personal responsibility for learning and work.
