The Diploma of Higher Education offers the following majors: Business Studies, Education, General Studies, Health, Information Technology, Psychological Science (only available at JCU's Singapore campus), Science, Social Work, and Society and Culture. You will study a range of core subjects plus choose one major, and your study plan will be tailored to suit your chosen major.
Yes. Upon completion of the Diploma of Higher Education, you may be eligible for advanced standing within your bachelor's degree or receive credit for some of the subjects that you completed as part of the diploma, allowing you to finish your degree sooner. Some subjects completed as part of this diploma may be eligible for credit towards a subsequent JCU undergraduate degree.
The estimated annual tuition fee is AUD $34,649. Fees quoted are Australian fees; Singapore fees may be different, and you should visit www.jcu.edu.sg for details. A Student Services and Amenities Fee is also payable per subject up to a maximum amount per year. Scholarships and financial aid are available for eligible international students. Fees displayed are for 2026 and are subject to change in following years.
Graduates who successfully complete the Diploma of Higher Education meet the entry requirements necessary to enter into many JCU bachelor's degrees. For example, Business Studies graduates can enter the Bachelor of Business or other equivalent business-related degrees, the Psychological Science major prepares students to enter JCU's Bachelor of Psychological Science, and the Social Work major is a pathway to the Bachelor of Social Work or a social sciences degree. The diploma excludes pathways to Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science.
