The work placement component must be undertaken in a real industry workplace with a commercial kitchen. All students are expected to complete the required 48 service periods in a workplace environment, preparing dishes for customers within the typical time constraints of a busy commercial kitchen. Time is allocated in weeks 66–75 for completion of the food service shifts. Students are responsible for finding their own vocational work placements, which must be pre-approved by the College. Students who are unable to find a placement will be supported (not guaranteed) in finding a suitable venue.
The course includes theory and practical training and assessment, which are conducted in a training room and a commercial kitchen. Assessments may be conducted through a combination of written questions and answers, case studies, roleplays, practical demonstrations and work placement.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
