You can apply directly to VU by clicking the 'Apply Now' button on the VU homepage and following the steps to create or log in to your account. TAFE course applications are made directly to VU (not via VTAC), and you can enquire by calling 1300 82 33 87, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm.
Yes, you can apply for credit (advanced standing) for any relevant units you have completed in your current or previous courses. To apply, you will need to supply academic transcripts and unit descriptions. Any documents in another language will need to be translated and certified. Credit is automatically applied for any units completed at Victoria University.
No, TAFE students are not eligible to defer their start date. Deferral is only available to domestic students in eligible higher-education diplomas, bachelor degrees, or postgraduate certificates, diplomas and masters by coursework who have applied but not yet enrolled.
Thanks to the VU Block Model, where you study subjects in four-week 'blocks', there are five opportunities across the year to start your course, so you don't have to wait until next year or midyear to begin studying at VU.
