Diploma of Hospitality Management

The SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management is a nationally accredited qualification delivered face-to-face by TrEd College over 78 weeks at its Adelaide campus. It reflects the role of highly skilled senior operators who use a broad range of hospitality skills combined with managerial skills and sound knowledge of the industry to coordinate hospitality operations. Students gain valuable skills in customer service, operations management and strategic planning, learning to operate independently, take responsibility for others, and make a range of operational business decisions across restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs and commercial kitchens. TrEd College recognises Credit Transfer for units already completed at another Registered Training Organisation, and offers Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) so applicants can have relevant skills and knowledge — however they were gained — formally assessed toward the qualification. It builds on the skills developed in TrEd College's Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and Certificate IV in Kitchen Management, giving graduates a management-level qualification for the hospitality sector. Graduates are equipped to deliver exceptional guest experiences and lead teams in roles such as Bar Manager, Cafe Manager, Chef de Cuisine, Chef Patissier, Club Manager, Gaming Manager, Kitchen Manager, or Restaurant Manager.
