Applicants must provide evidence of an Advanced level of English, which can be demonstrated through an IELTS score of 6.0 or a PTE overall score of 50.
Yes, students enrolled in the Diploma of Hospitality Management must complete a mandatory work placement of 36 shifts, and students are required to source their own work placements.
Students who successfully complete this course may continue with further study at Advanced Diploma level at CTI. Individuals can also progress to other qualifications in any service industry field or advance to study at a university of their choice.
Students must complete a total of 28 units, comprising 11 core units and 17 elective units, organised across four clusters: Work Safety, Administration, Client and Customer Services Skills, and Communication.
Graduates can work in any hospitality industry sector as a departmental or small business manager. The diversity of employers includes restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops, with career outcomes including Food Service, Bar and Accommodation Manager and Department Manager.
