To be awarded the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management, competency must be achieved in a total of twenty-eight (28) units, consisting of 11 core units and 17 elective units. For this program, 22 units (6 core units and 16 elective units) have been completed as part of SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management from Melbourne City College Australia or equivalent. Therefore, only 6 units — consisting of 5 core units and 1 elective unit — must be completed.
Applicants are required to have an IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent, as well as successful completion of the college's LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy) test and digital literacy assessment.
After achieving the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management, individuals could progress to SIT60322 Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management or higher education qualifications in management. The college also has approved articulation arrangements with Southern Cross University, offering credit into courses such as the Associate Degree of International Hotel and Tourism Management, the Bachelor of Business and Enterprise majoring in Tourism Management, and the Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management.
The tuition fee for the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management is $4,000.
