Achievement of a satisfactory result in the College's Language, Literacy and Numeracy Admission Test
An interview to gauge an applicant's aptitude and suitability to the intended course may be required at the College's discretion

Can I study the Diploma of Hospitality Management while still at high school?

Yes, Barrington College offers VET in Schools programs that allow high school students in Year 10, 11 and 12 to complete or work towards qualifications, including diploma-level courses, while still completing their secondary education.

Will this qualification contribute to my QCE (Queensland Certificate of Education)?

Yes, students in Year 11 and 12 can complete VET In-school courses that can contribute credit points towards the QCE (Queensland Certificate of Education).

Does this qualification provide any university pathways or ATAR equivalency?

Yes, Barrington College has established articulation agreements with a number of universities which provide students with direct pathways into undergraduate courses and the potential for academic credit. The qualification may also provide ATAR equivalency.

What facilities are available to support my hospitality studies?

Barrington College's campuses feature purpose-built commercial cookery kitchens, barista stations, bars, bistro, front office, housekeeping and concierge training areas to maximise the student learning experience, along with student lounge areas, libraries and kitchen spaces.

Barrington College offers several delivery options including weekly online classes, in-school delivery where classes are delivered at school alongside self-paced study, regional school delivery with weekly in-school online delivery supported by an in-school teacher, and a campus accelerated option delivered at Barrington College's campus.
