The course runs for 52 weeks in total, comprising 40 weeks of delivery plus 12 weeks of term break.
International students must achieve an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no bands less than 5.5) or an equivalent Pearson Test of English (PTE) score.
Students study full time in a mixed mode of delivery that integrates Face to Face, Online and Self Study, totalling 20 hours per week. Approximately 10 hours per week is dedicated to self-study to revise and reinforce areas of knowledge, assessment research and assessment preparation and completion.
After successfully achieving the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management, graduates may undertake the SIT60316 Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management.
Students that complete some but not all of the units of competency as stated in the Course Structure may be issued with a Statement of Attainment. It will identify only those units of competence that have been completed as part of the qualification and recognised nationally under the AQF.
