Diploma of Hospitality Management

Diploma of Hospitality Management (SIT50422) is delivered by JMDEDU PTY LTD, trading as Wyndham International College (RTO 46144, CRICOS 04222J), with classroom training at its Tottenham campus and practical kitchen sessions at its North Melbourne campus.

This qualification reflects the role of highly skilled senior operators who use a broad range of hospitality skills combined with managerial skills and sound knowledge of the industry to coordinate hospitality operations. They operate independently, hold responsibility for others, and make a range of operational business decisions.

The course provides a pathway to work in any hospitality industry sector as a departmental or small business manager, across employers including restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops. It allows for multiskilling and acquiring targeted skills in accommodation services, cookery, food and beverage, and gaming.

Delivered over 24 weeks, with classroom sessions of 20 hours per week. Entry requires successful completion of the Certificate IV in Kitchen Management.
