Common Questions
The tuition fees are $16,000 for onshore students and $17,500 for offshore students. There is also a material fee of $1,000 and an enrolment fee of $250.
The Diploma of Hospitality Management has a duration of 104 weeks.
An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6 or equivalent is required. All students will also be required to sit for an Internal English Test to validate current levels, and test results must be no more than 2 years old. Alternatively, English language competence can be demonstrated through education for a minimum of 5 years in an English-speaking country, completion of at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course at an Australian RTO, or successful completion of an English Placement Test. Other tests such as PTE and TOEFL may be accepted if equivalent to IELTS 6.
This qualification provides a pathway to work in any hospitality industry sector as a departmental or small business manager. The diversity of employers includes restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops. The qualification also allows for multiskilling and for specialisation in accommodation services, cookery, food and beverage and gaming.
This program is delivered in the classroom and through structured self-study. Practical face to face training is provided, and a work placement is also required.
