The Diploma of Hospitality Management has a duration of 6 months (1 semester) with a study load of minimum 20 hours per week. Intake dates for 2026 are Semester 1 – February and Semester 2 – July.
The tuition fee for the Diploma of Hospitality Management is AUD $8,040 per semester (Total tuition fee). Please note: All fees are listed in AUD and are based on a semester rate. Total course costs may vary depending on the semester start date. Tuition and material fees may increase annually in line with CIT's fee review process. Fees are subject to change.
Yes. Students are required to complete 36 service periods (216 hours) of industry placement as part of the course. With support from CIT teachers, students may also gain casual employment opportunities in the hospitality industry to complement their studies.
IELTS: Overall 6.0 (no band lower than 5.5); PTE Academic: 50 (minimum 42 in each band); Cambridge English (C1 Advanced or B2 First): 169. Applicants not studying on a student visa but holding a temporary visa for the full course duration must demonstrate Australian Core Skills Framework Level 2 in reading, writing, learning, oral communication, and numeracy.
Assessment methods include direct observation, portfolios, reports and presentations, and workplace-based evidence.
