To receive this qualification, you must complete 28 units: 11 core and 17 elective. The course has eight stages, each of 10 weeks, with holidays in between, and you will attend classes 20 hours per week over 2 days (excluding self-directed study).
Yes. 23 units can be credit transferred into the Diploma of Hospitality Management from Certificate III & IV Commercial Cookery courses. Acknowledge Education also recognises AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other registered training organisations, and you may be able to get up to 50% course credit for prior learning, potentially reducing both your tuition and study time.
For domestic students, the full tuition fee is $13,400, there is a material fee (uniform, knife set, and materials) of $700, and an enrolment fee of $200. International students should view the fee list on the Acknowledge Education website.
Graduates can expect to find work in the hospitality industry in roles such as Banquet or Function Manager, Bar Manager, Café Manager, Chef de Cuisine, Chef pâtissier, Club Manager, Executive Housekeeper, Front Office Manager, Gaming Manager, Kitchen Manager, Motel Manager, Restaurant Manager, Sous Chef, Unit Manager, and Catering Operations. Additionally, on successful completion you will be granted 23 credit exemptions for the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management at Acknowledge Education.
International students must be 18 years or older, have completed Year 11 studies or equivalent, and demonstrate English proficiency of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
