Diploma of Human Resource Management

BSB50320 Diploma of Human Resource Management reflects the role of individuals working across a variety of roles within the HR sector, including Human Resources Consultant, Advisor and Business Partner. Responsibilities vary by workplace: in smaller organisations staff may work across all HR functions, while in larger organisations individuals often coordinate a single HR function.

Across its 12 units of competency (7 core, 5 elective), students cover facilitating performance development processes, managing employee and industrial relations, coordinating the learning and development of teams, coordinating workforce plan implementation, managing business risk and WHS compliance, alongside electives in health and wellness programs, organisational policy, budgets and project work.

Entry requires completion of units BSBHRM411, BSBHRM412, BSBHRM415 and BSBHRM417 (or equivalent competencies). Graduates commonly move into roles such as HR advisor, HR and change manager, HR consultant, HR manager or senior HR officer, with a pathway into the Advanced Diploma of Human Resources Management.
