Yes, the Diploma of Information Technology is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) to meet ACS and international Seoul Accord graduate standards.
The Diploma of Information Technology consists of 8 units worth 80 credit points in total (each unit is worth 10 credit points). These include 5 Core ICT Units, 1 Core/Professional Skills Unit, and 2 DEN Core Major Units, covering subjects such as Introduction to the Internet and Web Development, Technology and Networks, Business Communications, Introduction to Information Systems, Data Modelling and Database Systems, Technical User Support, Introduction to Programming, and Mobile and Internet Apps Development.
International students must provide evidence of English proficiency completed within the last 2 years. Accepted qualifications include IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band less than 6.0, TOEFL 536 or better, TOEFL IBT 74 or better, Academic PTE overall 50 with no less than 50, Cambridge English CAE/CPE 169 or better, Duolingo overall 105 with no band less than 90, or completion of 12 months of study in Australia, among other accepted tests.
Graduates of the Diploma of Information Technology may pursue a range of roles including Software Developer, Web Developer, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Cybersecurity Analyst, Database Administrator, Network Administrator, Network Engineer, IT Project Manager, IT Support Specialist, Cloud Architect, Data Scientist, and UX/UI Designer.
Applicants must have attained 18 years of age on commencement of studies and hold Australian Senior secondary qualifications with a minimum ATAR of 60, or overseas secondary qualifications meeting admission requirements, or a VET Certificate IV or above in a relevant discipline, or satisfactory completion of at least one year of accredited full-time study at AQF level 4 or above in Australia, or completion of an Australian University Enabling Program, or credit granted under the SISTC Credit Transfer and Advanced Standing Policy.
