Mindroom's course entry standard is IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent). For a student visa (Subclass 500), the Department of Home Affairs accepts IELTS Academic or General Training average band 6.0, PTE Academic 47, TOEFL iBT 67, OET B in each component, C1 Advanced (CAE) 161, CELPIP General 7, LanguageCert Academic 61, or MET 53, taken within 2 years of lodgement. Packaged English (ELICOS) pathway options are available with lower score thresholds. Mindroom also accepts a recent Certificate IV or higher completed in Australia as meeting the course English standard.
A personal laptop is a mandatory requirement for in-class studies. The recommended specification is a Windows PC with an i7 Intel chip, ensuring the machine will remain suitable for years with appropriate RAM and HDD to match the CPU specs. Apple machines are not recommended due to frequent compatibility issues. Students should also ensure the laptop is not running a Snapdragon chip, as software cannot utilise this correctly.
Graduates often use this qualification as a foundation for more specialised study. At Mindroom, graduates may progress to BSB50820 – Diploma of Project Management for those leading web and digital projects from planning to delivery. As an AQF Level 5 qualification, this diploma may also support applications to advanced diplomas or bachelor degrees in web development, software development, computer science or related fields, depending on each institution's admission criteria.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
