Graduates will have significant cyber security and information technology network knowledge and can consolidate and build pathways to further education and employment opportunities including the Bachelor of Information Technology (Network Security) and the ICT60220 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology.
The course is delivered in a blended mode combining face-to-face and online learning. Students undertake 15 hours of face-to-face learning and 5 hours of online learning per week, except during term breaks, totalling 20 hours per week.
For overseas students whose first language is not English, an overall IELTS Academic score of 6.0 or equivalent is required. Alternatively, students can pass an Abbey College Australia entry test designed to assess the level of English proficiency.
With relevant working experience, graduates may gain employment in job roles including Cyber Security Analyst, ICT Security Consultant, Network Administrator, Web Developer, System Analyst, Database Administrator, and Website Penetration Tester.
Yes. Students can apply for credit for relevant studies or work experience through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT), which may potentially shorten the course and visa duration.
