Entry to this course requires successful completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent; OR completion of Post-Secondary studies (Cert III or above); OR relevant work experience in a related field. Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds must also meet the English language requirement of IELTS (Academic) 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 or equivalent.
The Diploma of Information Technology is delivered over 5 Terms and is offered as full-time study on campus only, with a study load of 20 hours per week using blended mode (face-to-face and supervised study sessions).
The Diploma of Information Technology is offered at Kent Institute Australia's Sydney campus (Level 11, 10 Barrack Street, Sydney NSW 2000) and Melbourne campus (Level 10, 350 Queen Street, Melbourne VIC 3000).
After completing the Diploma of Information Technology (ICT50220), students can exit into the ICT60220: Advanced Diploma of Information Technology, the Bachelor of Information Technology, or the Bachelor of Business at Kent Institute Australia.
Students are assessed through a variety of methods including Case Studies, Scenarios (Problem Solving), Practical Activities, Oral Presentations, Multiple Choice Quizzes, Written Portfolios, Projects, Reports, and Practical Observations.
