Diploma of Information Technology

This qualification equips students with the technical skills and underlying knowledge to manage, operate and maintain IT resources for organisations and businesses of both large and small. Students are trained to understand the fundamentals of computer science and the mechanics of software engineering, operating systems, internet and cloud technologies, and data management. Solis College's Diploma of IT also includes electives allowing students to specialise in Advanced Networking and Cybersecurity, opening up many highly specialised career avenues. Advanced Networking equips students to manage and maintain complex network environments and resources for organisations with specialised needs, including configuring virtual computing environments, identifying network vulnerabilities, and managing network security. Cybersecurity provides students with an understanding of digital security and the knowledge to implement security solutions that detect, block and prevent attacks by hackers and malicious software, protecting organisations from threats such as malware, phishing attacks, and other attempts to illegally gain access to or steal data.
