Common Questions
The duration depends on your study mode: online delivery is 52 weeks for domestic and overseas students, while face-to-face delivery for international students is 104 weeks.
The ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology covers three specialisations: Cyber Security (protecting sensitive data and developing disaster recovery and contingency plans), Database & Data Management (creating, designing and monitoring systems that store data and optimise organisational knowledge management), and Systems Administration.
International students must meet one of the following English requirements: completion of the LLN assessment, evidence of successful completion of at least two (2) years (full-time equivalent) study taught and assessed in English, or a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 or PTE equivalent.
After completion of ICT50220, students may wish to undertake the ICT60220 Advanced Diploma of Information Technology or a pathway to higher education such as a Bachelor of Computer Science or Bachelor of Information Technology.
To complete this qualification, students must complete all 20 units of competency, comprising 6 core units and 14 elective units.
